Recording Engineering for "Kummerang..." a dance performance by StratoFizyka collective for Heroines Of Sound Festival
INTERMEDIA PERFORMANCE INCLUDING RECORDING ENGINEERING BY REY KM DOMURAT…
This work involved the recording engineering of voiceovers with all of the Stratofizyka artists reading the poem by Dagmara Kraus [POL] in a studio night session assisted by Julia Borelli.
Our task was to produce a high quality resource for the sound designer Lenka Kocisova [CZE] to incorporate into the live performance.
The show includes a choreography and performance by Hen [USA] and visuals by Alessandra Leone [ITA]. It premiered for Heroines of Sound Festival at Radialsystem - Berlin in December 2018.

Described in an interview with the BBC World Service as a “symphony”, the work incorporates the sound design and voices by Rey KM Domurat and Siouxzi Connor, reading from the Our Little Wooden House In The Forest novel extracts that appear in the newly published book Little Houses, Big Forests (desire is no light thing) by Siouxzi Connor.

Experimental Film "In the dark, dark room..." [2017]
The film explores what happens to the psyche when we are isolated in nature – what rituals, fears and desires take over?
IN THE DARK DARK ROOM (2017) was shot during an art residency in the depths of an ancient Finnish forest – the site of a pagan bear cult - in the dark winter of 2016.
The work draws on the narrative and thematic elements from the novel Our Little Wooden House In The Forest: exploring ecology, ritual and female sexuality – elements recurring in Siouxzi’s previous work. The soundtrack was created by Rey (at the time using their name assigned at birth) and showcases their ability to create immersive aural worlds using sounds from nature amongst homages to their favourite artists.

It premiered during the artist-residency at Mustarinda in Finland by the end of 2016, and later became part of an aural-visual installation for the book launches of Little Houses, Big Forests: desire is no light thing in London, New York, Paris, Sydney, Berlin and more..
