Experimental Film "In the dark, dark room..." [2017]
The film explores what happens to the psyche when we are isolated in nature – what rituals, fears and desires take over?
IN THE DARK DARK ROOM (2017) was shot during an art residency in the depths of an ancient Finnish forest – the site of a pagan bear cult - in the dark winter of 2016.
The work draws on the narrative and thematic elements from the novel Our Little Wooden House In The Forest: exploring ecology, ritual and female sexuality – elements recurring in Siouxzi’s previous work. The soundtrack was created by Rey (at the time using their name assigned at birth) and showcases their ability to create immersive aural worlds using sounds from nature amongst homages to their favourite artists.

It premiered during the artist-residency at Mustarinda in Finland by the end of 2016, and later became part of an aural-visual installation for the book launches of Little Houses, Big Forests: desire is no light thing in London, New York, Paris, Sydney, Berlin and more..

Textures and tensions drag you blindfolded into the dark: a disturbing experience created to enhance your (Pornceptual) dark room exploration. 'In the dark, dark room' will play with you in the shadows, tease you at the edges force the boundaries of the body with all its abjections and subjections to pain, pleasure and everything in between.

Our team of created a concept and sound design for the promotional teaser of the advertising campaign of Enter.experience 2015 in Ibiza.
Our task was to create and intriguing experimental introduction to the design of the stages: metal, rock wood and sand.
